mo money mo problems

well not really more money but my truck broke down at work on thursday died once on the way there started back up and died pulling into the paarking lot. I've had lots of input and idea's from the guys at work so I tryed a coil and cap and roter next geuss is fuel pump (just like you said would happen steve) but I'm gonna barrow a od scan thing from schucks and see what the codes say. Also the same day my phone cracked and is ready to brake in half so I ordered a new fancy one. Oh and I drove the sami to work yesterday and the bounceing wasn't that bad most of the time Kris it is just like yours was at the ttcw when we where blasting around trying to find matt. once it starts it dosen't stop till you slow way down and get on it agin. What did you do? I don't think it's the steering as much as the front pass suspention maybe feels like the wheel is kinda loose. If I can't get it running I'll have it towed to my place and have to figure another way to the the gear to the show tonight.

Forum: 4x4 Chat

Fall Adventure Run

Just came back from the "Fall Adventure Run" in Christmas Valley in Oregon with a group from Zukiworld. Fun trip, the dunes were a blast as always and it reminded me why I love having the Tracker. We started out on Friday afternoon in La Pine, Oregon and explored the back country on the way to the camp site. A few inches of snow made some of the back roads nice and slick and lead to some fun rallying and sliding around corners. From there we went to Fort Rock, the dunes and Crack in the Ground while trying to stay off pavement as much as possible. The new Bilstien's soaked up bumps at speed without issue and the brush guard looked good, even though I did clip the bottom mounts a few times when trying to hit some of the steeper sand dunes. I also found out that in 3rd low range at wide open I can do pretty good high sides on the side of dunes, but more power would be nice.

Things to remember for next year, I need a larger tent and a tent heater. Because the first night was cold, so very cold... Second night was a bit better as I was using the two sleeping bags and the blanket. I also found that butane doesn't work if it is freezing out so next year I will have a white gas stove or propane.

Full Pictures on-line at:

http://picasaweb.google.com/Drone637/FallAdventureRun09

The adventure begins:

Stylish architecture:

Conquerer of the Dunes:

Forum: Trail Talk

Bought another Sammy

No pictures yet, but we are picking it up tomorrow morning. Has a rebuilt 1.3 that hasn't been wired back up yet. Comes with an extra front clip, hood, both doors, windshield (broken glass), motor (in parts), f&r toyota axles, full top (not too bad shape), 4 - 38" mud tires (toyota rims), set of front seats (ugly red), probably some miscellaneous parts.

So yea, if you know someone who needs a Sammy I should hopefully have a runner here soon.
Forum: 4x4 Chat

Tracker Pointless Mod

So what do you all think?

It still needs to be painted and such. We cut down a Rodeo brush guard I picked up for 40 bucks. Of course then we spent 5-6 hours making it work on the Tracker but still worth it.
Forum: 4x4 Chat

Just in case you were wondering what to pick up there is a nice article covering the Ford Raptor vs the Dodge PowerWagon.

http://news.pickuptrucks.com/2009/10/part-1-whats-the-diff-ford-f150-svt-raptor-vs-dodge-ram-power-wagon.html

I say the Raptor. I can already pull the same amount as the Power Wagon in my truck, but I can't do 60+ in the desert.
Forum: 4x4 Chat
